Accra floods again after an hour of heavy rains

The Greater Accra Regional capital and its surroundings woke up with a heavy rainfall leaving them stranded as they embark on their day to day activities.

Early morning torrential rains in Accra have led to parts of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, North Kaneshie, Nima, East Legon, Teshie, Tantra Hills and other areas flooded.

Homes and offices in several communities including Abeka Junction, the Graphic Road, Dome Market, Nima, among others have been submerged in water.

People going to work had to pay GHC1 for others to carry them across flooded bridges.

Many people who left their homes early to beat the morning traffic for work are stuck in traffic as the flood waters have taken over the streets and some major roads.
