The chiefs and elders of Assin Basofi Ningo and its surrounding communities in the Assin north municipality of the Central region are upset about lack of developmental projects in the area thereby threatening to boycott any political activities in the future.

In an interview with the chief of the chief, Nana Teteh Akusaki I, he revealed, during the 2016 general elections, the President and the Member of Parliament(MP), Kennedy Agyapong promised to construct their road but said they have not heard anything from them as at now.

According to the aggrieved chief, all the chiefs and elders of the various communities have decided to boycott any political activity and campaigns if nothing is done about the poor road network connecting the over 20 neglected communities.

Nana Akusaki indicated, due to the poor nature of the road, they ( chiefs and elders in the area) even feel shy whenever they travel outside their vicinity to other areas due to the dirt on the road because their clothes normally turn red.
