Dr. Bawumia To Address Fourth National Policy Summits In Tamale

Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is expected to address the fourth National Policy Summits slated for September 24 to 25, 2018 at the University of Development Studies International Conference Centre, Tamale.

The National Policy Summit (NPS), which is a public-private initiative, has been described as major initiative of the Ministry of Information and during the conference, ministers of state responsible for the various flagship programmes would engage directly with stakeholders and provide status reports on them and also take feedback.

It serves as a platform for government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to engage stakeholders as well as economic actors in government flagship operations.

The National Policy Summit (NPS), which is a public-private initiative, has been described as major initiative of the Ministry of Information.

This forms part of the Government’s efforts to be accountable to the people, the Fourth National Policy Dialogue would be dedicated to its flagship programmes and providing status report on them.

Areas to be looked at include the Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Programme (One Constituency, One Million Dollars), Free Senior High School – The Double Track System/Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET); One Village, One Dam; One District, One Factory; and the National Health Insurance Scheme.
