“I Have Ambition To Be A President” – Samini
Samini has hinted that aside being into farms, he is interested in becoming the president of the Republic of Ghana some day.
Ace Ghanaian reggae/dancehall artist, Emmanuel Andrews Samini, known in the music industry as Samini says he still harbors the ambition of becoming the president of Ghana in the future.
The “My own” hit maker took the opportunity to remind Ghanaians of his presidential ambition on an Accra based radio station on Tuesday afternoon.
He stated that someone like George Oppong Weah who after leaving the pitch as a footballer and not a traditional politician to become the president of Liberia is inspiring him (Samini) that there is every hope for him to become the number gentleman of Ghana one day.
“I have been building myself and i am hoping to become one of the few young Ghanaian men who would qualify for the position when the time comes” he revealed.
Samini, commenting on government decision to ban activities of the Ghana Football Association(GFA) after Anas corrupt expose, he stated:“I believe the GFA has to go through a total overhauling and come back to us with a group of people who haven’t been in office”.
The artist, however expressed worry at the circumstances that led to the death of a 70-year old man who died due to inability of health facilities to admit him on time suggesting those responsible for what happened should face the law and also called for measures to avert any future occurrence.
Samini also hinted he is into farming for the past six years, dubbed “high grade farms” which has been a secret over the years.
He said the idea of going into farming is borne out of passion and also believes in eating what you have grown and therefore advised the public to venture into farming because there is a huge market earn a descent livelihood.
The musician has being in the music industry for over 18 years producing hit tracks such as Linda, Samini, Odo, Baby, Iskoki, among many others.
