Thousands of Krobo citizens today Thursday, August 9, 2018 hit the street to protest against government’s decision to relocate some major faculties of the main campus of University of Environment and Sustainable Development popularly known as “Eastern University” located in Somanya to the satellite campus at Bunso in the Abuakwa South District of the Eastern Region.

They are also giving government a two weeks ultimatum to give them clarification why a satellite campus should cost me $ 90 million more than the main campus or will walk naked to the flagstaff house.

The protestors dressed in all red carrying plaque cards with writing “We need our school back, we need peace, Akyem robbers,  respect Act 898, we have advised ourselves, Krobos will fight for their right, Agyarko welcome home Krobo still love you, Mr. President, Donkorkrom also deserve it as the Act says,  Don’t test Dangmes, no vote for Nana in 2020, Mr. President rescind the decision, no tribal war”.

The aggressive demonstrators marched from the Agormanya market in the Lower Manya Krobo municipality to the Yilo Krobo lorry station amidst singing and chanting of Krobo war songs under a heavy police security.
