VGMA: I wanted to wear “toggas” – Patapaa reply critics
The one corner hitmaker has lamented, his aim of wearing what is being described as oversized coat by Ghanaians is to attract people and he achieved his purpose.
Swedru-based musician, Justice Amoah, popularly known in showbiz as Patapaa Amisty has become a subject of discussion on social media following his appearance on the red carpet at the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMA).
The “One Corner” hitmaker subjected himself to public ridicule when he turned up at the 19th edition of the event at the Accra International Conference centre in a ‘seemingly’ over-sized suit and red tie accessorized with a black shoe.
His outfit has raised lots of talk on social media describing it as over-sized and unfit for a celebrity like him whiles others think he could have done better in choosing the right dress code.
But the embattled musician speaking on an Accra-based Zylofon FM has hinted Ghanaians were lucky he did not wear ‘toggas’ to the Awards night, saying he deliberately wore the over-sized suit for people to talk about him to trend.
“I wanted to wear something different to attract people’s attention. You see now am trending, people are talking about it everywhere”, he added.
