The Bank roller and financier of Division one side Brekum Arsenal, Alhaji Yakubu Morro has backed government decision to restructure football in the country but called for lenient approach.

In an interview, he said: “I think Anas has done a great job but this is not the first time he’s come out with an expose. He went to the Cudiciary, Customs, the Port and others but aftermath of the expose those founded guilty were axed from their post, so I don’t think there should be a total overhaul at the Ghana Football Association. The government should have axed culprits of the expose from our game so we can proceed”.

Football relating activities in the country has been put on hold following the Anas expose last month as FIFA together with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) have mandated a liaison team to serve as an intermediary for the needed reforms in Ghana football.

But Yakubu Morro in an interview said: “the entire Ghanaian populace knows that Nyantakyi, Eddie Doku and others were caught in the video so those people were supposed to be sacked from their position for the continuation of our football”.

“I will commend the government for how far he has dealt with the case but I will plead that the rest is left for us the football people. We are in a democratic country and if the government has his mind we also have ours. The association is not for the government, it is for club owners and the government must listen to our views” he ended.
