1- Missing eye examinations

4- Smoking

“Smoking cessation is a modifiable factor that can reduce the risk of developing some eye diseases, such as age-related macular degeneration and cataracts,” Mensah explains.

5- Insufficient lighting

“Working or reading in poorly lit areas can make your eyes work harder, leading to eye strain, discomfort, and poor vision,” Jorgensen warns.
