When analyzing prices by time periods, Mw/h will range between €124.91. Electricity will cost between midnight and 01:00 and €84.97 for the period between 18:00 and 20:00.

In fact, the price will decrease in the wholesale market for the second day in a row, but the adjustments are very small compared to the increases recorded over the past few weeks. On the last two Sundays of August, electricity was traded on the wholesale market at values of about 80 euros per megawatt-hour, while in July, Sundays recorded prices in the range of 80-90 euros per megawatt-hour.

One of the factors driving up electricity prices is the heat wave in the Iberian Peninsula. But the prices of natural gas used to produce electricity are also rising. The price at which CO licenses are traded has also put pressure on the wholesale electricity market.

In monthly terms, July was the most expensive ever: the Iberian Mibel electricity market ended this month with an average price of 92.60 euros per megawatt-hour.
