Grimaldo: “We’ve had two difficult years but we haven’t stopped believing” – Benfica

The Spanish defense commented on the draw for Benfica, which secured a place in the group stage of the Champions League

Grimaldo responded to the equaliser (0-0) Benfica, in Eindhoven, which ensured that the embodiment reached the group stage of the Champions League.

“It is very important for Benfica, for us and for all the fans. We have had two difficult years but we have not stopped believing in it. We have worked for a few years, the team is very strong and united. So we will face all competitions. And goals together. Let’s move forward without looking back,” he began Referring, in a quick interview, to Eleven Sports.

He added, “We worked a lot with El-Sayed on the defensive side. It appeared because we were defending almost all the time because we had one less player. We are a very united team and we worked very well in defence.”

“We are a team that likes to have the ball, we have players for that, but it is very important to defend. The defensive phase is very important and in the group phases we will play many matches like that, but we like to attack. And they want to win.”
