A BOLA – Taremi’s father explains the goal drought (FC Porto)

Taremi was smiling with another season scoring many goals and making Porto fans cheerful, but it was not more than two months since the Iranian killer’s goal. The player’s father does not suspect that the situation is classified as a “psychological problem”, but believes that the lack of confidence will “be overcome”.

Taremi’s final goal came on October 26, when the Dragons lost 1-3 to Santa Clara and were immediately out of the League Cup. But three days before that encounter in the Azores, the Iranian signed a hat-trick in a 3-1 victory over Tondela.

Everything seemed to be fine with the striker, who scored nine goals in 13 matches. Very reasonable numbers and this made him walk similar or even better than the one he scored in the previous season, which ended with 23 goals in 48 games.

Speaking to the Iranian press, Alireza Tarmi, the father of the spearhead, said he found an explanation for what is happening: “Is it a psychological problem? Yes it is. But it is a condition that can happen to any player. God willing, he will solve himself and the Mahdi will become better. He believes that He will pass this period.”
