The CEO of Tesla, one of the largest makers of electric cars, believes the world needs to produce more oil and gas. This view comes on the heels of the war between Russia and Ukraine that has hampered their supply.

Elon Musk chose his preferred platform for making allegations.

Since Tesla is a manufacturer of electric cars, it has always been a competitor to internal combustion cars, that is, those powered by fossil fuels.  However, CEO Elon Musk believes that the world should produce more oil and gas.
Although it seems contradictory, this claim follows from war Between Russia and Ukraine, which are directly and indirectly involved the whole world.  The repercussions of the invasion are felt, for example, in terms of oil and gas supplies from the invading country.

In these extraordinary times, it is necessary to resort to extraordinary measures.  In the words For Elon Musk, it is important that oil and gas production increase, so that the effects of the war in this direction are not as serious as expected.

Of course, this will negatively affect Tesla, but sustainable energy solutions simply cannot react immediately to compensate for Russian oil and gas exports.

As we know, the world is highly dependent on Russian oil and gas.  As The Verge reports, although this dependence did not prevent countries from taking a stand against Russia, after the invasion of Ukraine, the truth is that concerns arise in connection with the increase in energy and fuel prices.
Regarding Elon Musk's claim: As usual, it's hard to know if he'll have a project up his sleeve.  After all, although he's the CEO of a major electric car maker, he doesn't discount the importance of fossil fuels at this (supposed) time of transition.

I do not support demonizing the oil and gas industry.  We will need to burn fossil fuels for a long time.  The question is how do we move quickly toward a sustainable energy future.
