Adele may forgive us, but the truth is, there’s nothing better, after a busy day, than coming home and listening to… Happy and fun music. The topic is so cool that some research has been done to find out which songs are most capable of leaving people with “life is good” expressions on their faces.

Whoever measured the happiness provided by some songs was neuroscientist Jakob Gulig of the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, who, at the request of the British electronics company, Alba, assessed what certain songs make people happier. .

To access the tracks used in the study, the researcher listened to 2,000 people, who indicated songs released in the past five decades were the happiest.

Although feeling happy is highly subjective and dependent on each individual’s experience, the neuroscientist explained that there are three general aspects in songs that are considered happy: fast tempo (150 beats per minute), key chords and upbeat lyrics.
