The Golden State Warriors defeated the Dallas Mavericks and became the champion of the Western Conference this morning. In the NBA Finals, they are waiting for the Boston Celtics or the Miami Heat.
In Game 5 at home in San Francisco, the Warriors won 120-110 and won 4-1, reaching the Finals for the sixth time in 8 years, something not achieved since the Chicago Bulls in the 1990s.
Klay Thompson starred with 32 points – 8 of which were three. Stephen Curry did not exceed 15 points and 9 assists, but was MVP in the tie, winning the first Magic Johnson Award: in the previous four games, he averaged 26 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists.
