July 6, 2022 marks the entry into force of the rule that all new cars sold in the European Union are required to include new safety systems in the list of standard equipment 11.
The base is valid for all new models launched, while those already on sale benefit from a two-year period of adaptation.
What regulations become mandatory?
The European Union wants to reduce the number of fatal accidents in Europe, so all car manufacturers will be required to install a variety of safety equipment. Some of them are already part of the list of series of many models.

The European Commission also has other measures on the table, such as structural strengthening of vehicles for greater resistance in the event of a collision across the entire width of the vehicle, improved performance of seat belts and an improvement in the collision area for pedestrians and cyclists in the event of hit-and-run.
