Elon Musk enters Twitter headquarters with a sink

Entrepreneur Elon Musk, who is about to complete the purchase of Twitter next Friday, entered the headquarters of that social network in San Francisco, United States, a sink.

In a Twitter post, the philanthropist who has three different nationalities (South African, Canadian and North American) wrote: “Enter Twitter HQ – let this sink in!” , which translates in Portuguese to something like “entering Twitter headquarters – reflecting”.

The expression used by the Tesla owner takes on another meaning when he appears in a video holding a sink (sink, in English) at Twitter’s headquarters.

Musk’s $44 billion (about 43.6 billion euros) deal to make the social network his own is due as of Friday, although the video posted provides no evidence that the acquisition is complete.

Twitter and Musk representatives have not commented on this, but the company has confirmed the authenticity of the video.

The businessman also changed his Twitter profile, referring to himself as “Chief Twit”, and changed his location to the social network’s headquarters in San Francisco, signaling the conclusion of the deal.

A Delaware court has ordered a Friday deadline to complete the deal in early October.

It’s the latest move in a battle in which Musk signed a deal to acquire Twitter and then tried to back out, prompting the social network to sue the Tesla CEO to force him to complete the deal.

If the parties miss Friday’s deadline, the next step could be a retrial in November.
