Sixth Armored Core: Rubicon fires

A recent interview with the site IGN (Across VG247) with the manager Elden ringand Hidetaka Miyazaki as designer SekiroMasaru Yamamura, some details on Sixth Armored Core: Rubicon fires.

One of the biggest revelations at The Game Awards last week was that FromSoftware is finally making a new armored core, officially called Sixth Armored Core: Rubicon fires🇧🇷

Although Miyazaki directed the project to an extent, he was only there at the beginning, and Yamamura took over and is the main director. Of course, one of the biggest questions on everyone’s mind is whether Armored Core VI It would be like the Soulsborne games, and Miyazaki was quick to deny it. “No, we didn’t make a conscious effort to try and steer it towards more Soulsborne-like gameplay. First of all, let me make that clear,” Miyazaki explained.

According to Miyazaki, with Armored Core VI The team revisited the core concept of the series and what made it special. “We wanted to get to grips with the assembly side, building and customizing your own machine—your air conditioner—then we could claim a high level of control over the assembled machine.” During the interview, both Miyazaki and Yamamura confirmed that customizing a mechanic would once again be a big part of this sequel.

In addition to the customization mechanic, Yamamura said that “boss battles are the highlight of this title’s gameplay”. You will need to “read the enemy’s moves”, so that the “enemy and your machine” are “aggressive and violent in their attacks”.

Don’t expect such a great open world title Elden ringYamamura also specified that the game would have a “single-player mission-based structure. It’s not completely open-ended—it’s going to stay with that mission-based structure.” Yamamura confirmed that there will be a corresponding mode, though he didn’t provide specific details on what it would look like.

Apparently, the big focus is on the single player, but you don’t need to play the other games, despite being the sixth title in the series. “We like to think of it as a whole new story,” Yamamura explained. “There are no direct links to the previous games in terms of the ongoing story. This is a whole new setting and a whole new story for players to enjoy.”

Sixth Armored Core: Rubicon fires It will be released in 2023 for the PS4, ps5Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC.
