Closer intends to hire another 150 people, “in the next six months,” for the areas of “Data Science,” “Data Engineering,” “Business Intelligence,” “Big Data,” and “DataOps.” The Portuguese technology company announces this Tuesday, January 3, in a statement.

“The basis for this job offer is the growing number of projects in sectors such as banking, insurance, telecommunications, industry and utilities for local and international clients, with a focus on England, Switzerland and Brazil,” explains the company, which guarantees a record of “double-digit” annual growth, both in human resources and in volume. Business.

Portuguese technology company Data Science, founded some 17 years ago, “already exceeds 400 employees working out of offices in Portugal, Brazil and the UK,” and continues to build its strategy on international expansion.

“The demand is growing and we feel that the market is more open even on the topic of remote work – which was not always appreciated until the pandemic – which allows us to conquer new customers and projects,” notes Fernando Matos, co-founder and partner at Closer.

Highlighting that Closer “was among the 25 best companies to work for in 2022,” Matos ensures that this “is the place to learn, work and grow.”

“The culture at the company is really extraordinary. We have a much lower attrition rate than the market average and a lot of the hiring comes through recommendations of existing employees,” he highlights.

“Another positive point is our specialization in data – we are one of the companies that do the most projects in Portugal and have the most experience in this field. This makes people want to join a company like Closer,” he concludes.
