With the aim of contributing to the dissemination of science in a clear and simple way, the Institute of Physics (IF) of the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT), Cuiaba Campus, has launched the Mato-Grossense Physics Journal (JMFis). The JMFis editorial board is made up of four professors from UFMT’s Graduate Program in Physics (PPGFis), including Alessandro Ferreira dos Santos, who says that this The first version was officially launched on the 15th. The second article was produced by Professor Ricardo Rodríguez de Franca Pinto, coordinator of PPGFis, who reports on the “Physics Graduate Program at the Institute of Physics of UFMT: Brief Historical Retrospective, Procedures and Perspectives,” he notes.

Alessandro Ferreira dos Santos also says that the third article by Professor Alberto Sebastião de Arruda, co-founder of PPGFis, is titled “Gibbs Paradox”. This article aims to introduce an important topic in statistical physics and relate it to people’s daily lives. The JMFis will be published quarterly, and in the following volumes, we hope to receive submissions of mainstream articles in physics, both from professors at UFMT IF, and from the entire community in the state of Mato Grosso working with the science, whether fundamental or application,” he highlights.
