The tender for the rehabilitation of the IP8 corridor between Santa Margarida do Sado and Ferreira do Alentejo costs €38 million. The IP now contains 13 works launched under the PRR, which adds up to an investment of €154m.
Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP) has launched the public tender for the execution of the contract for the complete rehabilitation and enhancement of traffic and safety conditions in the IP8 corridor, between Santa Margarida do Sado and Ferreira do Alentejo.
With a base price of €38 million, the company said, “This is the largest IP investment launched to date under its Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR)”.
The public company adds that the work envisages the structural improvement of the road, along a section of approximately 22.1 kilometres, between the end of the A26 motorway, in Santa Margarida do Sado, and Ferreira do Alentejo, as part of the contract for the construction of a new bypass for Figueira dos Cavaleiros with a length of 2.9 kilometres.
Currently, the company led by Miguel Cruz (pictured) has a total of 13 businesses launched under PRR, which is equivalent to an investment of 154 million euros.
Of these thirteen contracts, five are already in the works, with a total value of €50m, while the remaining eight contracts, worth €104m, are in the works.
The IP still has 14 investments in the design phase, 11 of which are in progress and three have already been approved.
