YouTube content creator Adam Davis was showing off his truck to his followers when he decided to eat chocolate. What he didn’t know was that this Easter egg was giving Adam the chance to win €11,000, reports The Independent.
Only later, when his friends told him that the colors of those Cadbury eggs were different from the normal ones, did the young man realize that he had lost the chance to get 10,000 pounds, or about 11,334 euros.
“I didn’t notice it, because it didn’t taste different. I was so hungry,” he said, indicating that he didn’t feel “too bad” for doing so.
He joked: “Who can say they ate £10,000 in 30 seconds?”
However, Adam Davis admitted that the money “would have come in handy”, so he asked the Cadbury brand for a consolation prize.
“If you think about it, that’s one egg anyone can find. To be honest, I had no idea there was competition, so it’s not their fault.”
Cadbury has relaunched its Creme Egg, revealing it has stashed 280 copies in the UK with half white chocolate and half milk chocolate. Consumers who find these special eggs receive a prize of £10,000.
