Bard Test, Google’s AI? Now you can do it with this little trick

Published on

Bard is Google’s answer to ChatGPT and other incoming AI. It is being developed and tested on a limited basis, but has now been opened up to 180 more countries. Portugal isn’t on the list yet, but with this little trick, you can now test Bard, Google’s artificial intelligence.

Bard has reached over 180 countries

On the first day of its I/O conference, Google broke the good news to the internet and to everyone who follows the tech world. The queue to use Bard has been removed and AI is now available in more than 180 countries and regions, albeit in English.

a The list is long, but it has an interesting feature. Of the 180 countries and regions, none of them belong to Europe, which ends up limiting this use. Canada is also out at the moment, and you don't understand why. It ended up pissing users off who wanted to test Google's artificial intelligence.

The reason for this geolocation is not known with certainty, but it is believed that it may have something to do with privacy issues. The same thing has already happened with ChatGTP and OpenAI in Italy and other countries are preparing to do the same soon. There is still a simple way to get to Bard.

All it takes is a VPN to test Google's AI

To achieve this, the user just needs to use a VPN before accessing the Bard website. This should direct traffic to one of these 180 countries or regions, but the simplest thing is to choose the United States or the United Kingdom, the countries where Google's artificial intelligence was initially tested.

With the VPN working, you have to access next bard.google.com And sign in with your Google account. From that moment on, they just have to ask this AI questions, in English, and wait for answers.

It is not known if and when Bard will be available in Europe and especially in Portugal. Google will definitely improve what Bard has to offer, especially the privacy commitments that Europe will demand. However, with this little trick, Google's artificial intelligence is open to anyone who wants to test it.
