According to the job description, it changes some browser settings to better adapt to the system – possibly to reduce the use of hardware resources while activating games. Changes are also being made to the home screen and sidebar to include gamer-focused shortcuts and news.
There are also new themes and a custom dark mode when this feature is activated.
For now, Edge for Gamers is still in an early stage of development, but Microsoft is expected to reveal more news over the next few weeks. For now, activating the feature doesn’t translate into significant browser changes, it just places shortcuts to Discord and Twitch in an accessible way.
