Benfica announced, on Saturday, the signing of Orkon Kokcu, like More Informed in time.

In a statement sent to the Comissão do Mercado de Valores Mobiliários (CMVM), the Reds report that they have reached an agreement with Feyenoord for the transfer of the 22-year-old midfielder for €25m, a sum that should be €5m. Add, “Payable according to predetermined goals and within a maximum period of 5 years.”

Thus, the Turkish international became the most expensive football player in the history of the Eagles: he exceeded the 24 million euros paid by Darwin Nunez in 2020 to Almeria.

In addition, the Dutch club is also entitled to “a percentage of the value of the capital gains obtained in a future transfer of said player, and this percentage depends on the value for which that future transfer will be effected”.

Kokgu, Benfica also reveals, has signed a contract valid for five seasons, until June 2028, which includes a €150m release clause.

After five years at Feyenoord, the only club he has represented in his career, Orkon Koccu will have his first experience abroad, replacing Enzo Fernandez at Benfica.
