Personally, I don’t want to see the Galaxy S24 lineup based on Exynos processors hit the market. The range of Galaxy S23 smartphones is almost perfect, which is why I really want the partnership between Qualcomm and Samsung to continue!

But, after a rocky few years, Samsung is really changing the way its Exynos processors are designed and manufactured. A good example of this is what is being done on the Exynos 2400 which may or may not please the mobile world in 2024.

Exynos 2400 is back! Unlike Snapdragon 8 Gen3

Therefore, the Exynos 2400 It changes over time, and by all indications it will hit the market with a base configuration that differs greatly from what Qualcomm is preparing for its new brand. Snapdragon 8 Gen3.

That is, while the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 should still be a processor with 8 physical cores, the Exynos 2400 will prefer a configuration with 10 cores. 10 physical processing cores driven by “Super Core”, which is more capable, faster and of course hotter. However, the “Super Core” of the Exynos 2400 processor has now been modified to run at 3.2GHz. And this, in turn, means that Samsung is looking for the maximum SoC, in order to understand whether to bring it to the market or not.

Having said all of this, as far as we know, individually, the fastest Snapdragon 8 Gen3 cores are faster than the fastest cores in the Exynos 2400. Including the “Super Core”, where the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 also has a 3.3GHz Cortex -X4 to take over same role.

However, in other tasks, the Exynos 2400 can benefit from its ability to deliver higher multitasking performance. All thanks to having 10 physical cores instead of “only” 8.
