The initiative aims to combat misinformation and promote awareness about HIV

Last week, the Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) launched an interactive quiz as part of its ongoing efforts to combat misinformation and increase the population’s level of knowledge and awareness about the still-existing HIV/AIDS epidemic. Millions of people around the world.

AIDS remains a serious global public health problem, and even with significant advances in prevention and treatment, the lack of accurate knowledge on this topic remains an obstacle to controlling the epidemic. In this context, the Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS decided to launch this educational initiative.

The game targets all audiences, is available in Portuguese and is easily accessible on the programme’s official website. It addresses a range of issues related to HIV, from prevention and treatment to stigma and discrimination and historical facts about the epidemic in Brazil, in a multiple-choice questionnaire.

Internet users are challenged to answer questions by selecting an option. Whether the answer is correct or incorrect, an explanatory description with the correct alternative immediately appears on the screen.
