On Wednesday the 16th of this month, the Ai Pin produced by startup Humane began pre-sale in the US, but orders are only expected to ship at the beginning of 2024, according to Wired.

Humane, developed by former Apple employees, expects the device will become popular and even serve as an alternative to smartphones.

It is not surprising that the AI Pin has attracted interest since it can be controlled using voice commands and user gestures. In addition to offering integration with ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence (AI) tool that serves as the main application for controlling the technology, according to the site.

Another interesting feature is the display of images on the palm of your hand, with the ability to change them with simple movements.

Due to its simple and compact design, the AI Pin can be worn over a T-shirt or blouse, with a magnetic battery attached to the inside of the piece.

  • Also according to the site, Ai Mic, Humane’s voice assistant, is inspired by language models that have emerged recently, such as OpenAI, so that users can use it in a similar way to generative AI robots or voice computer assistants (Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri, for example).
