The average weekly price of gasoline decreased by 0.89% compared to last week, and diesel by 0.8%, according to the Energy Services Regulatory Authority.

“The efficiency price was updated compared to last week by -0.89% for gasoline and 0.8% for diesel, taking into account the weekly variation in global prices for simple gasoline 95 by -2.2% and simple diesel by -1.6%.” , reads the ERSE weekly report “Combustíveis – Price Watch”.

This week, the effective price before tax is €0.764 per liter of simple 95 petrol and €0.841 per liter of simple diesel.

After deducting taxes, the effective price is 1,651 euros per liter of simple gasoline 95 and 1,580 euros per liter of simple diesel.

The effective price takes into account the value of the fuel in international reference markets, the sea freight involved, the initial logistics, additional costs with the integration of biofuels, the retail component and taxes.

The average selling price to the public, announced on bridges, compared to the previous week, was 3.1 cents per liter higher than the effective price in the case of simple 95 gasoline and 4.2 cents per liter in the case of simple diesel.

Simple 95 petrol was advertised on the gates at 1.8% above the effective price and simple diesel at 2.6% above the effective price.

Regarding discounted prices, simple gasoline 95 and simple diesel showed respectively deviations from the effective price of -1.4% and -2.4%.

“In absolute terms, these estimates are for simple gasoline 95 at -2.3 cents per liter below, and for simple diesel at -3.8 cents per liter below, which are the effective prices respectively,” he added.
