Okay, you might not buy it, but admit, the music in this clip is pretty great.

data sheet

  • This technology features a 1/2.9-inch CMOS image sensor and 800nm three-level IR illumination.
  • The lens has seven layers of large aperture F1.0 with anti-reflective coating (as well as being resistant to scratches, water, dust and oil).
  • The system offers 5x digital zoom and the brand claims that you can see at distances of up to 600 meters in the dark!
  • Images are displayed in real time on a 4-inch color TFT display with a resolution of 400 x 960 pixels.
  • The device is capable of taking photos at up to 56MP, as well as capturing 1080p videos, but with the option to upgrade to 4K UHD, with microSD card storage (not included).
  • The binocular comes with a 5,000 mAh battery that is said to be good for up to 10 hours of use with the IR lamp on or 16 hours with it off.
  • The package also includes a compass and signal/safety light.

If you look at the images, the images are far from 4K. They're pretty endearing, to be honest.

When asked about this, the company stated that artificial intelligence will be used to improve the device's capabilities.

According to Yashica, the “intelligent algorithms and big data” behind this technology should achieve continuous improvements over time.

Let's wait.

In development since February last year, the viewing scopes are now being funded Kickstarter.

Prices are around $139 USD, which represents a 45% savings over the expected retail price.

It is worth noting that this is crowdfunding, i.e. online crowdfunding – which means more interest, since the brand does not yet have the necessary budget for large-scale production.

Now, if all goes according to plan – and with the campaign already funded (which is close to happening) – shipping is expected to begin in May of this year in the USA.
