Action, the non-food discount store, opens its first store today in Entroncamento, Santarém district. This is Action's third store in Portugal, less than a month after opening the first in Vila Nova de Gaia, and the second in Coimbra.
The brand covers 6,000 products, in 14 categories (namely toys, household products, gardening, DIY and food). Action offers 1,500 products costing less than €1. The average price of all products is less than 2 euros.
The new store has an area of 1,091 square meters and is located at Entroncamento, Rua da Caridade, No. 91.
“We are very happy to open our first store in Santarem and the third in Portugal, after opening our first store in the country less than a month ago. This is an important step in our expansion project. We will continue to strengthen our presence in Portugal,” says Bart Reemaekers, Regional Director for Benelux, Germany, Italy, Spain and Portugal. “More and more Portuguese people want to enjoy the unique experience that Action offers.”

With more than 2,500 stores in Europe, Action employs more than 69,000 staff. With the opening of this new store, Action creates a total of 19 new job opportunities in Santarém.
