toEvia Voigt, a 19-year-old Brazilian whose wealth is estimated at $1.9 billion (1.8 billion euros), has become the youngest billionaire in the world, according to a list published by Forbes magazine on Monday.
While still in college studying psychology, Livia became the youngest billionaire thanks to her minority stake in electrical equipment producer WEG, which her late grandfather co-founded. The young woman and her older sister, Dora Voigt de Asis, 26 years old, are two of the seven new faces among the 25 youngest billionaires and two of the 18 heirs to that group.
Livia surpassed Italian Clemente Del Vecchio, heir to Luxottica, the largest eyewear manufacturer in the world and owner of the Ray-Ban brand, by only two months, as both are 19 years old. Clemente was the youngest on Forbes' 2023 list.
