Renato Veiga leaves Basel to join Chelsea.

The Swiss club revealed, in a brief statement on social media, that the Portuguese player left the team's training camp in preparation for the new season, as he “is negotiating with another club.”

It is worth noting that Renato Veiga signed with Basel a year ago from the Lions, after a season spent by the 20-year-old player on loan at Augsburg. After a successful season in Switzerland, where he scored two goals and one assist in 26 matches, he moved to the English Premier League.

At Sporting, Vega completed his training, but did not make his debut with the main team: he played 31 matches with the Lions' secondary formation.
