Have you ever wondered what a Samsung OLED panel on your wrist would look like? This is instead of your smartwatch or smart bracelet سوار exercises? This is what Samsung did. So he announced something innovative he called an electronic stretching device.

Samsung invents OLED pads put an end to smart watches!

In fact, researchers at the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT) have developed an expandable OLED display. It can be attached to the wrist and provides various information related to fitness. Meanwhile, it integrates the heart rate sensor and other sensors.

They tested this device by attaching it to the inside of the wrist near the radial artery. This allowed us to ensure that movement of the wrist did not cause problems on the screen.

During testing, the OLED pad remained stuck and stretched up to 30%. Meanwhile, it was confirmed that the sensor and OLED screen continued to function even after being stretched more than 1,000 times.

The SAIT team modified the composition and structure of the elastomer. It is a polymer compound with high flexibility and flexibility, and uses existing semiconductor manufacturing processes to apply it to substrates for stretchable OLED displays and optical blood flow sensors. Samsung claims this is an industry first.

Various uses

according to Samsung How does the site indicate? Android saladThe bandage looks like it’s part of the skin. So it can be used to measure vital data during sleep or exercise. This way you can also check your fitness data on the OLED screen without having to connect to an external device.

“The technology can also be used in health products for adults, children, and infants. The same is true in patients with certain diseases,” explained lead researcher Young Joon Yoon.

The flexible sensor also makes continuous heart rate measurement possible. This is highly sensitive. At least compared to the existing static sensors.

However, all this is still at an early stage. So the researchers say they intend to commercialize the technology by increasing the system’s accuracy, scalability and measurement accuracy. All at a level that makes mass production possible.

In fact, it is a very innovative product. Now it remains to wait for it to reach the market.
