New information about the Samsung Galaxy S22: Smaller and Ultra screens will have an LTPO AMOLED display

Published on

As you can see from the screenshots, the Galaxy S22 series will have slightly smaller screens than its predecessors. For comparison, the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21+ come with 6.2-inch and 6.7-inch screens respectively. The S21 has a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels. The device comes in Phantom Black, Phantom Silver, Phantom Titanium, Phantom Navy and Phantom Brown colors.

The Galaxy S21 smartphone consists of a quad camera: 108 MP (wide angle) + 10 MP (telephoto) + 10 MP (telephoto) + 12 MP (ultra wide) while on the front there is 40 MP (wide angle). Sensors include a fingerprint (under the display, ultrasonic), accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, compass, and barometer.

Anyway, the Galaxy S22 Ultra features a 6.8-inch screen like its predecessor Galaxy S21 Ultra, the smartphone comes with 12GB and 16GB of RAM with 128GB, 256GB and 512GB internal storage options. The device is designed with a glass front (Gorilla Glass Victus), a glass back (Gorilla Glass) and an aluminum frame.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G is equipped with a non-removable Li-Po 5000 mAh battery + 25W fast charging + USB Power Delivery 3.0 + 15W Qi/PMA fast wireless charging + 4.5W wireless reverse charging. Also, just like the latter, the former will be the only model in the entire Galaxy S22 series with an LTPO panel.

Thus, Samsung launched the Galaxy S21 series in January. It’s only been five months since the announcement, however, details about the Galaxy S22 series have already started appearing online. According to various sources, the next generation Galaxy S series smartphones will have a smaller screen than the current generation models. They are suggested to arrive in the screen sizes below. However, the screen resolution of these phones is a mystery at the moment.

But we hope it will be similar to the current generation. Therefore, the Ultra should have a WQHD+ display, while the Plus and “Vanilla” models will likely have FHD+ panels. Unfortunately, nothing else is known about the Samsung Galaxy S22 series at the moment. However, we hope to learn more about these devices before they are officially launched early next year.
