Japan’s AlphaTauri-Honda rider Yuki Tsunoda has been penalized with a loss of three grid positions for the Styria Grand Prix (tomorrow, 14.00) after fouling Valtteri Bottas during a fast lap in the third part of qualifying. The Japanese rider set the eighth best time on the course, but will start the race with 71 laps at the Red Bull Ring, in Spielberg, in 11th place.

Interestingly, the driver Tsunoda “disturbed”, Bottas, also lost three places on the grid. The Mercedes-AMG Finn team set the second-best qualifying record, 0.194 seconds behind the fastest Red Bull-Honda driver Max Verstappen, but was punished by race management for an accident in the program’s free practice 2 in Austria, which took place yesterday (playing a spin when leaving Team pits after changing tires).
