Belenenses beat U de Leiria, 4-2, in a match of the fifth round of Serie B of La Liga 3, which was held on Sunday afternoon, at Estádio Dr. Magalhães Pessoa, in Leiria, thus, elevated the blue team to lead the championship.

In a duel between two dates with strong pasts in Portuguese football, there were goals and spectacle, but there was also other official data for Liga 3 records: a new attendance record. There were 18,124 spectators present at the Leiria Stadium, a number that surpassed the previous one, which was also held by UD Leiria, which has already been verified this season, at the reception of the Académica (17122).

The Lis city logo was the first to score, through Jordan Van der Gaag, in the 41st minute, but already in the first half compensation period, João Costa brought the result back to par.

Shortly after the start of the second half, Flavino, from the penalty spot, put Belenenses ahead, leaving Clé and Xavi Fernandes to extend their defeat numbers. The best the home team was able to do was reduce the damage, in the 69th minute, through Leandro Antunes.

With this victory, Belenenses leads the singles league lead with 11 points, while UD Leiria is fifth, maintaining the seven points it entered this round.
