On Monday, Hans-Dieter Flick released the 55 German teams pre-selected for the final stage of the World Cup in Qatar. In the list, the focus was the presence of Julian Weigl, the midfielder on loan from Benfica to Borussia Moenchengladbach, having played eight games with the German national team so far.

In Flick’s selections, the youngest Yusuf Mukoko, the 17-year-old Borussia Dortmund striker, who has not even played for Germany’s under-21 team, should also be highlighted.
