A touch of the future on your wrist: everything we know about the OnePlus Watch 3

OnePlus will return to the smartwatch market with the launch of the new OnePlus Watch 3. This model will contain a series of improvements compared to its predecessors, while maintaining the precise and elegant design that the OnePlus Watch 2 already presented.

The OnePlus Watch 2 had a 3.6cm AMOLED display, with a brightness of 100 nits and a resolution of 466 x 466. It was also covered by a sapphire crystal glass panel. The watch benefits from an IP68 dust and water resistance rating, as well as a 5ATM water resistance certification.

It runs on a Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor, supported by 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The new Watch 3 is expected to come with similar but improved specifications, in addition to a new operating system.

According to sources from GSMArenaThis accessory will already be on its way to retailers and has already received certification from TENAA, the Chinese electronics control agency.

The OnePlus Watch 3 will retain its circular display and side buttons, like the previous model. However, it will have a bezel with a tachometer engraving, as well as a different texture on the rubber straps.

The listing on the TENAA database reveals that this smartwatch will feature LTE connectivity with eSIM. It will also offer built-in GPS functionality, providing its users with the ability to carry out activities that require precise location without the need for a smartphone.

As you would expect, the watch will also have access to Wi-Fi and NFC technology usable for contactless payments. Furthermore, the Chinese agency confirmed that the smartwatch's battery will have a capacity of 500 mAh, similar to its immediate predecessor.

There is still no confirmed release date for this device, however, its presence in an important certification like TENAA indicates that it will be soon.

Rumors have recently emerged suggesting that OnePlus will postpone the launch of the Watch 3 and Pad 2. However, nothing is confirmed yet – we will have to wait for more information.
