Besides the impact it’s had on manufacturers, Tesla seems to be motivating them to do more. An example of this is Alfa Romeo, which, in addition to admitting that Tesla “kills everyone”, emphasized that its brand does not want to go unnoticed.

Following the direction we've been following, Alfa Romeo plans to launch its first zero-emissions model in 2024, and finally abandon internal combustion engines in 2027. The turnaround will be rapid - expected within three years - and is due to the support of the Stellantis group.

The fastest growing brand in the US, Tesla, is killing everyone.  We see ourselves as different from everyone else.  We don't want to go unnoticed.  We are not a gray BMW...our customers tell us they buy the ax because "you're not".

Although Alfa Romeo's main market is Europe, the brand Focus too in the United States of America.  Therefore, in order to counter the “brand beloved With the fastest growth in the United States," it will launch two electric vehicles, scheduled for 2027.

Details like space [interior], equipment, packaging, ship size, technology, etc. will be ideal for North America.  The United States will be responsible for 70% of sales of this new car, so it must be adapted to the American public.

Larry Dominic explained, referring to one of the two vehicles to be launched, an SUV, designed with the American public in mind.  More than that, it's known that both will use the large STLA modular platform, which will be launched next year along with the Dodge Charger Daytona.
