Since the beginning of this week, anyone passing by Rua Arcipreste Manoel Teodoro, near Praça da República, in Belém, can already see a new appearance emerging in the old building of the Secretariat of Science, Technology, Higher, Vocational and Technological Education. The exterior wall of the building receives graffiti work with figures and logos referring to the guidelines worked by the Sectet. The new painting of the building and everything that will be developed in it will be shown at the event scheduled for January 7th. The place is being prepared to become a space for providing services to the public as of February 2023.

“With the increase in the various activities carried out by the Sectet, such as the Forma Pará Programme, the procedures and rooms in Usinas da Paz, Carretas da Paz, as well as the policy of supporting start-ups, among many others, the need for the Secretariat to have an environment to provide services in the field of Science and technology. It is what we call the Science and Technology Tower, the Amazon Tech Tower. The idea is that the unified space of many services that will be available to the community, ”explains the head of the cult, Edilza Fontes.

Another program that will have a floor in the tower is Forma Pará. Forma Pará launched in 2019, closed in 2022 reaching 144 Pará municipalities with at least one higher education course offer. In the tower, high school students will have a face-to-face center of the Enem Pará digital platform, a platform that provides classes, exercises, simulations and monitoring for students who will take the National Secondary School Examination (Enem). There will be a class with teachers from all disciplines attending to answer students’ questions.
