Following the 0-3 win over Arouca, Ruben Amorim pointed to improvements in performance, believing that the rivals are on the same level, especially in the Champions League.

“In the first minute we have to be better. During the match we control the opponents' exits. We did not concede goals and did not allow the opponent to create many,” he began his speech on Friday evening at a press conference.

And because he realizes that his students are safer, Sporting coach mentioned other aspects.

“We are better at building low blocks. Before, due to our characteristics, opponents would approach the middle. The technical staff is improving but the players are improving.”

And in the Champions League we could be exposed. We can be better and define better.”

Sporting maintains the lead in the league with 15 points, six points ahead of the team that occupies second place.
