An airport in Italy closed after a rain of ash – Norwegians are stuck in the ash

Many Norwegians are devastated after Catania Airport on the popular holiday island of Sicily closed all air traffic on Sunday.

He says the airline has currently booked colleagues for a flight that departs on Tuesday.

Etna is more than 3,350 meters high and has been very active so far this year, Italian media write. Ash rain often presents a problem for people in the area.
