According to the Portuguese airport concessionaire, this increase in revenue is reflected in an increase in the number of passengers throughout 2023, in a clear recovery for the travel sector.

ANA Aeroportos posted record revenues of €1,105 million last year. This represents a growth of 22% compared to 2022, according to Vinci Group data.

According to the Portuguese airport concessionaire, this increase in revenue is reflected in an increase in the number of passengers throughout 2023, in a clear recovery of the travel sector, with 66.3 million people passing through the national airports.

The same data suggests that revenues in 2023 were 23% higher than the roughly 900 million euros recorded in 2019, a pre-pandemic year and a reference for recovery comparisons. The number of passengers also increased by 12.2% compared to 2019.

In total, the agency owner ended the year with revenues of €3,947 million, an increase of 47% compared to the previous year. ANA contributed 28% of total revenue, which is close to the 31% of Gatwick and Belfast airports in the UK.

It is important to remember that the Vinci Group owns the concession of ten Portuguese airports until 2062, after purchasing ANA in 2012.
