Back to top: Honor Magic4 announced with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1

The Honor Magic4 family is available in Basic Edition and Pro Edition, and it has just been announced as the first family Main 2022 for the Chinese brand that returns to the absolute top with this equipment loaded with important specifications, starting with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

The high-tech of the new Honor Magic4 does not start with the Snapdragon. The 6.81 screen of the Magic4 has a resolution of 1224 x 2664 and a key feature is the first PWM screen dimming of 1920 Hz, which means we can get down to very low light levels without noticing eye-straining flicker. The big difference between the two will be that the Magic4 panel is curved bilaterally, while the Magic4 Pro is betting a very captivating panel from a visual point of view, as it has a curvature on all four sides.

Staying outside, we notice the expressive circle-focusing the cameras on the rear panel, and the setup is pretty interesting in either station that the two 50MP cameras share, but when we get to the zoom camera, the Magic4 has an 8MP sensor with 5X optical zoom, while The Pro takes photography to a whole different level with its 64MP camera and 3.5x zoom, with 100x hybrid.

Moving inside, we find the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 on top of both, but the batteries are different. If the capacity is very similar, with the Magic4 having 4800mAh and the Magic4 Pro providing 4600mAh, the charging capacity is very different, the Pro can charge at 100W, either wired or wireless, which explains the battery as something “shorter”. However, the Magic4 will settle on a 66W charge is still appreciable.

Honor Magic4 and Magic4 Pro will be available in the second quarter of 2022, with prices starting at €899 and €1099, respectively.
