Carlos Carvalhal was satisfied with the victory over Tondela (1-0) in the 23rd round of the league. The coach of SC Braga stressed the importance of winning after the trip to Moldova, in the first leg of the Europa League playoff.
“It was important to win. Last year we came here to play and had a great victory [4-0], this year we came from a European competition, a tough match, a seven-hour trip to Viseu. We practically did not stop and it was important to win. This is a victory for the team, we are very satisfied with the behavior of all of them because we are developing and we have to get SC Braga fans used to that this season we will have to play more matches because the arguments are different”, he explained.
With the surprise of Gil Vicente who finished fifth just four points away, Carlos Carvalhal did not want to stress the Barcelos team and pointed to Benfica who drew against Boavista (2-2).
