Ball – Mayara Nyhues is Sporting’s sound-enhancing technology (women’s soccer)

Sporting secured the signature of Miara Nehes, an 18-year-old defensive midfielder, who arrived at Alvalade from Internacional in Porto Alegre (Brazil).

Brazil’s Under-20 player, Mayara Nehes is seen as an important booster to the team led by Mariana Cabral, in a deal brokered by Raquel Sampaio, CEO of Teammate Football Management.

Trained in Chapecoense, Mayara Nehes has always represented in her home country Irandopa and Recanto da Crianca, before that, in 2020, heading to Internacional de Porto Alegre, where she has been for the past two years. Between the youth level and the first team level, the defensive midfielder participated in 57 matches and scored 8 goals.

It follows the first trial in Europe, now in green and white, promising to be a staple for Sporting in the attack for the national title.

At the time of the official announcement of the contract with the Brazilian, Sporting informed that the contract is valid for three seasons, with another option, although the values of the deal are unknown. However, BOLA is able to say that the Lions fully paid for the deal – which is unusual in a Liga BPI – in a transfer that, as our newspaper knows, involves one of the largest sums in the history of women’s football in Portugal.

“I am very happy to join Sporting, a great Portuguese club that bets a lot on women’s football. As soon as the proposal was made, I knew right away that this was the way, and this would be my home. I will help the team. I’m sure I will always hand everything inside the capo. I want to build a chapter in my history in Sporting,” said Mayara Nehes, at the time of her presentation, in statements carried by Alvalad club’s communication channels.
