Jerzy Dudek, the former Real Madrid and Liverpool goalkeeper, published his autobiography, excerpts of which were published last Monday, and leaves harsh criticism in it. He remembers the duels with Barcelona, the former Polish international targeting Messi and Guardiola.
“Messi was a provocateur, and so was his coach Pep Guardiola. They were always ready to annoy you and they managed to do it perfectly. I heard Messi say such rude things to Pepe and Sergio Ramos that it is hard to believe that they would come out of the mouth of someone who seemed so calm and friendly.
And in his four years in Madrid (from 2007 to 2011), Dodik shared a dressing room with Cristiano Ronaldo and also did not have friendly words for the Portuguese.
“Raul Gonzalez was very arrogant, but in general I can say he was natural. On the other hand, Ronaldo is very self-centered, he has a great desire to win, which is not often welcomed from outside. I think I prefer losing 0- 1 on winning 5-0 without scoring,” he wrote.
Dodik, who is currently 49 years old, started his career in 1991 at Concordia in Poland. He also represented Ticci (Poland), Feyenoord (Netherlands), Liverpool (England) and Real Madrid (Spain), before retiring in 2011.
