Ball – Philip Anderson Says Goodbye and Grojic … yet? (Porto Club)

The match with Belenenses SAD, at Estádio do Dragão, marked the endpoint on loan to FC Porto by winger Felipe Anderson and defensive midfielder Marko Grujic, the first from West Ham and the second brought by Liverpool.

There is no doubt that Felipe Anderson will never wear the Porto shirt again. The 28-year-old forward’s performance was a far cry from the expectations that led to his arrival, and he is the one who entered Europe and is rated an ace and has made steady seasons at Lazio. But at FC Porto, Felipe played only 10 matches (five league matches), without goals and a total of 401 minutes on the pitch.

The scenario changes regarding Grojic and there are indications that SAD Blue and White will try to keep the 25-year-old Serbian international midfielder in the squad for 2021/2022. Not conclusively – Liverpool are asking for around 20 million euros for a player pass – but most likely through a new transfer and possibly even on a specific purchase condition. Remember, Grujic played 38 matches per season (22 league matches) and scored a 3–2 goal in Famalicão in Round 30.

This will still be an issue to address so, for now, a duel with Belenenses SAD will mean goodbye to these two players.
