Black Myth Studio: Wukong Doesn't Want Feminist Propaganda

The highly anticipated game Black Myth: Wukong, which will be released for PS5 and PC, has sparked a lot of discussion, and it has now been intensified by a secret document sent to influential people, asking them to avoid covering political topics, propaganda, and feminist references to Covid-19 in its coverage. These guidelines were posted on social media by French journalist and content creator Benoit “ExServ” Renier and confirmed by Forbes journalist Paul Tassi. According to Eurogamer, its journalists did not receive the same instructions for their analysis of the game.

While it's common for content creators and publishers to provide guidelines on how to cover their games, some of Black Myth: Wukong's guidelines are quite strict, especially when it comes to avoiding politically sensitive topics.

Black Myth: Wukong will be released on August 20 for PS5 and PC, while an Xbox Series X/S release is still unconfirmed. Game Science via Hero Games has not officially commented on the guidelines sent to influencers.
