Brazil records 11,716 new cases and 318 deaths

The epidemiological bulletin of the Ministry of Health issued today (23) shows that Brazil recorded 11,716 new cases of Covid-19 virus within 24 hours. According to the report, just over 222,000 cases – equivalent to 1% of the total infected – are being followed up, while 20,895,886 people (96.2%) have been treated for the disease.

The bulletin showed that 318 deaths from the Covid-19 virus were recorded, while 3,045 deaths were being investigated. In the past three days, 159 deaths from severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) have been recorded.
